INTRODUCING THE 16 WEEK KIA MAU KI TE HOE COURSE
Kia Mau ki te Hoe will teach you the importance of pronunciation, building language that will make you feel comfortable speaking in the comfort of your own home and with others.
What you’ll learn:
Whanaungatanga – creating a safe and comfortable environment to learn while creating connections with others in the same situation – You are not alone.
Understanding the Piki Te Hauora way
Pronunciation of Māori words and place names – setting a good foundation for your growth
Building your vocabulary
Introducing yourself and addressing others
Basic and extended instructions around the home that can be used in everyday life
Waiata – to help remember learning in a fun way
Days of the week, Parts of the body, Basic greetings
Numbers, colours and counting
Learning basic comprehension
Speaking practice
Feelings and emotions
Begin to build conversations around meal times and getting ready for the day
Asking basic questions
Introduction to Whakataukī and Kīwaha
You will also gain free access to our ebooks to assist your learning and help you prepare for the online lessons.
Please note that our student portal is no longer a compulsory part of our curriculum and if you would like to access it as an optional resource there are additional costs. This resource is only available to enrolled Piki Te Hauora students.

➕Access to our private Facebook community so you can meet with your peers, learn together and celebrate each other’s progress!

Each class has a range of time slots each week, so that you can choose the best time for your schedule!
Typically there are both weeknight and weekend options available.

There is an upfront cost of $30 AUD
For the remainder of the 16-week foundation program, an ongoing weekly payment schedule of $30+ GST will be set up by our direct debit partner for the duration of your enrolment, making things easy for both of us to manage.
For students outside of Australia, you will no be required to pay GST

Our program is a safe and judgement free zone that allows you to feel comfortable while learning with others in the same waka.
This course is designed and developed BY second language learners, FOR second language learners, or those who are wanting to reignite their reo.
We encourage mistakes and allow learners to grow their confidence over the course. Overcoming trauma that may have prevented you from embracing your reo before now. We are here to support and encourage you on this journey.
Our goal is to help guide you, build your confidence and enjoy speaking te reo in the comfort of your own home!

Enroll you into the class schedule and finalise a start date with you
